Greyson's Four!!!!

Can't believe our little man is 4 years old today - it sounds so much older than 3 and the realization that he'll be off to kindergarten in a year and half is starting to set in. Enjoy my annual montage of the past year....always so fun to see all he accomplished and how much he's grown.

We love you Greyson - more than peanut butter loves jelly :)

XOXO,
Mom, Dad, and Peyton

A LONG Overdue End of 2011 Update

Well, to say I'm a bit behind on updating this blog is a BIG understatement. The truth of the matter is that we're now back to being a family of 4 we are just very, very busy! Between family outings, preschool, work, trips, etc it feels like we are always on the go. So, instead of boring you with paragraphs of updates. I'll do a few favorite pictures from October, November and December and then definitely check out the links to ALL the pictures on the left.

OCTOBER

We were blessed to have so many family and friends witness Peyton's baptism in early October.

Greyson enjoyed sledding (yep, in October!) with PopPop and JoJo on one of his many fun adventure days.

I went to visit Lisa for our early xmas gift to each other - VIP experience at the Real Housewives Tour. We had a GREAT time being the Bravo super fans that we are!

We enjoyed a fun day at the pumpkin patch and as you can see Pop Pop and his princess, Peyton, had a blast on the slide together! Has to be one of my favorite pictures of all time!

We also took time in October to take some updated family photos. Found a great photographer who captured our family beautifully. Here's one of my favorites, but there are so many to chose from (check them all out on links on the left).

Then closed out October with all the fun of Halloween. We did a Peter Pan family theme this year with Kyle as Peter Pan, Peyton as Tinkerbell, Greyson as Captain Hook, and I was Tiger Lily. We had a blast going to Boo at the Zoo and Trick or Treating around the neighborhood.

NOVEMBER

We started off November with a bang, with Kyle and I heading out on a Mexican Riviera cruise with 4 of our close friends for a long overdue kid free vacation. We had a GREAT time: fun, sun, cocktails, laughs, and lots of memories made.

While we were away Pop Pop and JoJo were watching over Greyson and Peyton with great care. They had so much fun and did so many fun activities! BIG thanks to them for watching the kids so we could get away.

Then we had a wonderful Thanksgiving here with Kyle's parents and my Mom and Mike coming to visit. Mom braved the rollercoaster with G at the North Pole.

Mike (Baba) and Peyton formed quite the bond. She seems to have all the men in her life wrapped around her finger.

DECEMBER

We started off December by attending the St. Barbara's Day Field Artillery Ball - our last formal Army function and we had a great time!

Then the many holiday festivities began - first we rode the Cog Railway Train halfway up Pike's Peak to meet Santa. We all enjoyed the ride, but G wasn't in the mood to sit on the big man's lap and P was still a big apprehensive as well.

G had his first Christmas Music Program at his new preschool and to say it was adorable would be a huge understatement!

December also brought a big milestone, Ms. Peyton is a walker. She was a bit late on this one, but trust us she is making up for it. She's all over the place, into everything, and as happy as can be.

Then K and I headed with two of our best friends to Winter Park for a ski weekend celebration of his 30th birthday. We had a blast spending a day on the slopes and Kyle had an outstanding start to his 30's.

Then Christmas finally arrived and Santa was very kind to our kiddos this year....so was our family and friends. This was our first year starting our own Christmas traditions and we had a great time with it. It truly was magical!

G soooo happy with the gift he had begged Santa for for months.....love the pure joy in his eyes!

Kyle was very happy to spend his first Christmas with Peyton. Plus, we were all happy to know that he'll never miss another Christmas again.

We then enjoyed a fun evening checking out the lights at the Zoo's Electric Safari.

We then ended 2011 with a bang - a fun filled family New Year's Eve complete with cheese and chocolate fondue, party hats, and a sparkling grape juice toast (at 8pm, of course).

So, we bid a fond farewell to 2011. It was the year that brought Kyle home from Afghanistan and 2012 will bring us the year that Kyle leaves behind his Army career and we move on and physically move to the next step in our lives. Thank you all for your love and support. We will keep you all posted as we know more in the next few weeks after Kyle's job conference. It's an exciting time in our lives and we just can't wait to get the ball rolling to find out what new and exciting adventures our family will go on. Lots of love and here's to a truly happy new year!

XOXO,
K, L, G and P
